When I was 15 years old I got my first car, a '65 Nova.
I was forced to do all the work on the vehicle myself due
to my tight financial position as an adolescent. I built that
first car and started to meet other hot rodders who were
like myself. I had a friend who built motors and did paint
work. I began helping him on cars and learning
slowly. I was an artistic kid and spent more of my time in high school drawing pictures for people than I did paying attention in class. When I got out of high school I joined a brand new program provided
by General Motors. This program provided a two year hands on
dealership training environment and granted me an Associates
Degree in Automotive Tech. I worked in the dealership
environment for about ten years. During the past five years or so
I was heavily involved in the desert scene. I had a Seven S style
off road truck that we took out on the weekends and a dirt bike as
well. It was January 10, 2004 when I managed to roll that truck end over end about eight times leaving myself and a friend badly injured.
My family and I had to make a decision at that point what to do with
our lives. We decided to move to Louisiana and make a new start.
The business was a forethought at that point. I started working at a local dealership, and bought a shop to spend my weekends at. The work slowly started coming in as I met more people around here and found where the cars and bikes were. After about a year and a half there was enough work to keep me busy enough to finally quit the dealership. The longer we are here the more interest grows in what we are doing!
